We invite you to an absolutely unique event, a concert of the undisputed pioneer of Polish electronic music. “Every nation has the father of its own electronic music.
The Germans have Kraftwerk, the Americans have the black brothers from Detroit, the French have Jean Michel Jerre, the Greeks have Vangelis. Our pioneer is Marek Biliński, a graduate of the Academy of Music in Poznań. He gained solo popularity on the domestic music market with the best-selling album Ogród Króla Świtu and the music video Ucieczka z Tropiku. The latter was voted the best clip of 1984 by television viewers. At that time, he had already recorded another “golden album” and a number of concerts in Poland and abroad. Marek Biliński regularly gave concerts, including: in Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen, Prague, Moscow and Kuwait. First places in plebiscites for the most popular instrumentalist in the years 1981–1985 brought him greater awareness of the existence of music without division into categories among Polish consumers. In 1995, he was recognized as the best composer and synthesizer virtuoso in a plebiscite of readers of the industry magazine “Muzyk”. In 2018, he was honored to be awarded the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis. However, Marek Biliński does not rest on his laurels, continuing to perform and release new music into the world. It’s worth knowing the roots of your passion, which is why we refer you to Marek Biliński’s extensive discography, which every fan of Polish electronic music should know.
